CAP PERSONNEL

If you’ve gone for multiple interviews and haven’t gotten the job, there may be some mistakes you’re unknowingly making.

Your CV

Your first step to getting your dream job is to ensure your CV is up-to-date, presentable, and easy to read. Here are some steps you can take to ensure your CV is ready to send off to potential employers:

  • Before submitting your CV ensure that all your contact details are clearly visible and correct, without any missing letters or digits.
  • Remove any inaccurate and irrelevant information.
  • Be specific about the skills you possess.
  • Never use the term “looking for any job”.
  • Explain what industry your previous employer was a part of and what they specifically specialised in.
  • Do not use any technical terms that someone who doesn’t work in the industry, does not know. This becomes confusing and may lead to you not getting an interview.
